Bench "SOLOME"

The bench from the SOLOME series is a reflection on the asymmetrical shape and peculiarities of the material. Fragility and sensuality of lines become deeply intertwined in this monumental object.

The bench was inspired by the ascetic seats of chapels and the scenic benches placed in all the observation platforms around the world. Thus, the sculptural shape becomes the integration of the quiet reflection on our existence and the joy of observing the beauty of the world. The wide and narrow parts of the object are in a delicate balance, and the designer engages in a visual play of steadiness against the offset center. This signifies a symbolical choice between stability and certainty, and the vulnerability of trust.
