KOLYA DYKHNE
Kolya Dykhne is a young artist who practices various art forms, especially those that allow for a fresh perspective on the beauty of abstract forms.
Kolya Dykhne has been passionate about art since early childhood. He didn't receive a professional art education, but independently mastered complex, almost lost techniques. Now Kolya creates sculptures and graphics, works with fabric and ink. In his own works, the artist strives to highlight their natural form, deliberately emphasizing flaws and imperfections: he is attracted by the idea of imperfect perfection. The artist's works were presented at a solo stand as part of blazar in 2024, at the Cosmoscow exhibition in 2022-2024, and also at PAD Paris in 2025.
"I love natural materials: wood, stone, clay, metal. I'm originally a graphic artist, but I'm not interested in digital art – for me, the materiality, the tactility of the object, its imperfection, in which its soul is revealed, is important. For me, working with my hands is a direct way to affect the environment," says Kolya.
The artist's interests lie in the monuments of ancient culture and art, which for him do not represent an archaic world, but, on the contrary, resemble messages to the distant future. "I devote a considerable amount of time to the study of mythology and the history of religion," Kolya notes, "with sufficient depth of perception, they reveal how a person sees themselves, the world around them, and their role in it."
