Cosmoscow 2026 DREAM CATCHER

In 2026, BOOROOM GALLERY presented two booths at Cosmoscow for the first time, bringing together in the DREAM CATCHER project two fields of interest that the gallery has consistently developed both locally and internationally: contemporary art and collectible design.

The collectible design objects featured in the project function as genuine sculptural statements. Their functionality does not diminish their artistic nature; rather, their value emerges through the material, the expressiveness of their forms, and the narratives embedded within them.

For the first time in Russia, BOOROOM presented Hubert Le Gall’s Pégase secrétaire, a rare piece previously shown in the designer’s solo exhibition at Villa Kérylos in the south of France, as well as at TEFAF and BRAFA art fairs.

In this work, Le Gall revisits the traditional image of the French writing desk, transforming it from an object into a witty artistic statement.

At the same time, the lighting pieces by Yuxuan Huang, which gave the project its title, DREAM CATCHER, explore the memory of materials and the possibility of preserving cultural heritage through new forms.

The section devoted to art brings together works by three artists whose practices converge within a shared conceptual field.

Daniela Busarello “reads” the spirit of a place through natural artefacts, viewing the landscape as a carrier of memory; Kolya Dyhné turns to monuments of ancient culture and art in search of universal symbols; and Li Chevalier works at the boundary between figuration and abstraction, transforming the landscape into a space for inner contemplation.

Together, these practices reveal a type of artist capable of reconstructing reality, bringing disparate elements together and restoring complexity and depth to our perception of events.

DREAM CATCHER evokes a state of heightened attention — a slower, deeper way of looking at the world that allows one to notice what would otherwise escape the viewer’s gaze.

It is a way of perceiving hidden connections and structures: a process of sustained contemplation in which the invisible gradually becomes visible and tangible, taking on form.
