BOOROOM SUMMER VIBES: Collecting Art & Design

Booroom Summer Vibes: Collecting Art & Design
On show until 28 August 2025
Booroom Gallery launches its new exhibition project, Booroom Summer Vibes: Collecting Art & Design. This show brings into the spotlight the figure of art collectors and the institution of collecting as one of the major pillars of the art world. Collectors and owners of rare pieces are not merely patrons; they become active participants in the creative process, offering vital support to both emerging and established artists.
The thoughtful eye, the passion for discovery, and the ability to notice the extraordinary represent the rare and distinctive talent. Relationships with collectors, many of whom have been with Booroom throughout its decade-long history, often evolve into lasting collaborations and creative partnerships.
The fine line between collectible design and contemporary art remains a constant subject of exploration for Booroom. By bringing together works that blur the boundaries between two disciplines, the gallery continues its collaboration with new talents and internationally acclaimed names. Collectible design pieces, while retaining a functional side, embody a self-sufficient beauty of material and form, the one that transcends pure purpose and offers new interpretations in technique and material expression.
The exhibition Collecting Art & Design will feature works by French artist Alix Waline, known for her experimentation with form and abstraction; salt-based objects by designer Roxane Lahidji; new pieces from Ariane Ahmad’s La Réflexion series; ceramics by Véronique Ganem; sculptural compositions from Lena Solovyeva’s Objects/Modules series; and works by South Korean artist Sunwoo Jung. Each of these creations represents a rare combination of inherited craftsmanship, contemporary practice, and new ways of thinking that transform the space they inhabit and, by extension, the world around them.
The exhibition Booroom Summer Vibes: Collecting Art & Design is a part of the Private Collections Biennale.
