BOOROOM GALLERY X PIANISSIMO

Pianissimo Classics and Booroom Gallery present a new vinyl record by pianist Konstantin Emelyanov, recorded at the Moscow Conservatory. This creative collaboration builds a dialogue between cultures and a bridge across time, combining the contemporary interpretation of classical compositions with visual imagery that resonates with their spirit.
The album cover features an art piece by Lena Solovyeva from her Post Florum series. The image of a broken flower, a scorched rose, stands as a testament to fragility and a reminder of the inherent value of human life. Artist’s piece becomes an imaginary time capsule, much like the compositions of Haydn and Rameau: though rooted in the early classical period, they are revived in Konstantin Emelyanov’s present-day interpretation.
“Art, design, and music are deeply interconnected. Openness and a dialogue between cultures and time periods have always been essential to me. Without knowledge of the past — the foundations of culture in all its diverse forms and expressions — it’s impossible to feel true depth in the present,” says Irina Budtseva-Vinitskaya, founder of Booroom Gallery, about the joint project.
The collaboration continues both institutions’ shared commitment to the synthesis of the arts: for Booroom Gallery, it is a way to expand the boundaries of perception; for Pianissimo, a natural extension of its longstanding initiative that unites music with painting, architecture and other artistic practices.
